From How they Served

2754 Private Richard Yolland Smith of McKinnon, Victoria. Embarked for Egypt and then onto France. Richard was later Killed in Action whilst serving in Belgium on the 10th August, 1917 at the age of 24. For those who know Bentliegh/McKinnon - Richard lived on McKinnon Road close to Wheatley Road - the family home he left, - is still there.
