Son of John William Kenyon and Susan Kenyon of Myrtle Street, Prospect, SA formerly of Broken Hill, NSW.

Brother of Harold Lancelot Kenyon who returned to Australia on 20 May 1919 having served with the  1st Divisional Artillery Headquarters; Roy Stephen Kenyon MM who was killed in action on 29 August 1918 while serving with the 27th Battalion and was buried in the Assevillers New British Cemetery, Plot V, Row F, Grave 2

Commenced return to Australia on 5 April 1919 aboard HT Warwickshire disembarking on the 24 May 1919
