Add my storyBiography
At the age of 30, Alexander left behind his wife Mary and their many children in the small country town of Amphitheatre to enlist.
When he arrived in France he joined the 3rd Field Artillery Brigade as a gunner.
He returned to Australia on January 24, 1919 suffering from pneumonia and mustard gas. It was two years before he could talk again.
