The death of Henry Albert Robertson Veness, commission agent, aged 39 years, occurred on Wednesday. Veness was arrested late in December, and, with another man, was  charged with having stolen, between August 12 and November 18 of last year, £855, the property of George Glascow and his wife. The charge arose out of the sale of an hotel at Goomeri. The defendants were released on bail to appear at the criminal sittings of the Supreme Court to be held op April 7.

The death of Mr Henry Albert Robertson Veness took place at Brisbane recently. Deceased was 38 years of age, and the only surviving son of Mr. A. A. Veness, town clerk of Glen Innes He was a nephew of Mrs A. Venness, of Howick Street, and the late Mr D. F. W. Venness, late town clerk of Bathurst.
