My grandad
Harold Percy Williams was my grandfather but I never met him. His daughter, Mabel, my mother, emigrated from Australia when she married my English father at the age of 17 in 1946.. He was in the Royal Navy stationed for a time in Sydney. They came to live in Lancashire and my mother never returned to Australia and I never got to meet either of my grandparents. I have a picture of him at a Gallipoli reunion in December 1966 and he died shortly afterwards in March 1967. I would loved to have met him.
