71 years ago today, on the Saturday morning of the 17th September 1949, Sergeant Kenneth Le Strange Hamilton Maccelsfield Heath (MSM), Australian Corps Working Party (Reg No-7375), soldier (Sgt Major), from Mitchell Street, Merewether, New South Wales and 65 Broadmeadow Road, Broadmeadow, N.S.W., was laid to rest at Sandgate Cemetery, age 67. ANGLICAN 3-181. 12.

Born at Moonipur, India about 1882 to Albert Edward and Jean Heath; husband of Ruth Heath nee Williams (married 1917, Adamstown, N.S.W., died 1978), Kenneth enlisted February 1917 with the 3rd Battalion at Sydney, N.S.W.

Admitted to hospital 15.10.1918 (asthma), 25.10.1918 (bronchitis), Kenneth returned home February 1919, being discharged medically unfit (varicose veins) on the 20th March 1919.
