Percy's parents were John James Cash and Bridget Annie Keong well-known local identities of Albany Creek. His occupation when he enlisted at Rockhampton on 21 September 1915 was a store keeper. Percy enlisted one day before his brother Frederick enlisted. Percy's brothers, Frank [3784A], Frederick [6583] and Bartley [no service number] also enlisted. Percy and Frank were killed in action.
