Described on enlisting as 26yrs 10 months old; 5' 5" tall (nugget build); fair complexion,
with a ginger mostache, single; grey eyes; brown hair; Baptist.
3/3/1915 enlisted in WWI at Keswick, SA
17/6/1915 embarked from Port of Melbourne onboard HMAT Wandilla A62
as a Private in 12th Infantry Battalion, 6th reinforcements
6/8/1915 taken on strength from reinforcements, Gallipoli, ANZAC
17/9/1915 sick with influenza, admitted to 2nd Australian Field Ambulance, Gallipoli
transferred to Hospital Ship HS Maheno
23/9/1915 seriously ill - admitted to Cottamera Military Hospital, Malta
25/10/1915 suffering from enteric - embarked for England onboard HS Brazila, ex Malta
