The Minmi Roll of Honour has 79 names inscribed of those who returned home from The Great War.
The 49th name inscribed is Air Mechanic 2nd Class Andrew Harrower.
On the 15th June 1985, Air Mechanic 2nd Class Andrew Harrower 553, 69th Squadron AFC, postal assistant from Empire Hotel, Bathurst, New South Wales, died at Brighton, Victoria, age 88 years 6 months.
Ashes interred or place of burial unknown.
Unsure if Andrew ever married.
Born at Minmi, New South Wales on the 22nd November 1896 to Francis Sharp, died 1.8.1946, 217 Cleveland Street, Redfern, N.S.W., age?, from Brilliant Street, Bathurst, N.S.W., and Mary Borland Harrower nee Durie, died 29.8.1932, "Minmi", 15 Shirley Street, Bexley, N.S.W., age 59, mother of 7.
Andrew enlisted on the 21st June 1916 with the Australian Flying Corps, No 2 Squadron, Headquarters, age 19 years 7 months, at the R. A. Show Grounds, Moore Park, N.S.W.
Unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria on board HMAT A38 Ulysses on the 25th October 1916.
Disembarked Plymouth, England 28.12.1916.
Attached to the 69th Squadron, Australian Flying Corps 13.1.1917.
Wounded in action - 11.8.1918 (GSW right arm, severe).
Commenced return to Australia 8.1.1919.
Andrew arrived home invalided on the 20th February 1919, being discharged medically unfit on the 10th April 1919.
Mr. Harrower’s name has also been inscribed on the Minmi St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Roll of Honour.
Service record states DECEASED, 15.6.1985.
Plaque in Victorian Garden of Remembrance.
