Clive Ludwig Montifore Garfield CHASE was born 2.7.1891 in Yorketown, South Australia His parents were Leonard William CHASE and Louisa Ann NICOLLE SN 442 - he joined up on 4.2.1916 - 43rd Infantry Battation C Company Unit left Adelaide on HMAT Afric 9.6.1916 Clive was killed in action on 11.3.1917 Armentieres (died of wounds) He is buried in Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, Plot V11, Row A, grave 190, France His brother Leslie Roy CHASE S/N 4269 also served in WW1 & returned to Australia on 5.7.1919
