Son of David Vaughan and Lily Vaughan nee Thomas of Barclay Street, St Kilda, Victoria.
Prior to moving to Victoria Victor served with the South Australian Light Horse for five years.
Husband of Alice Kate Vaughan nee Flemington of Rampart Road, Salisbury, England. Alice wrote that she was his wife but had not intention of coming to Australia. Victor and Alice married on 19 March 1919 in the St. Martin Parish Church Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. Assistant Curate Reginald Paddick officiated.
During 1939c Victory married Lily Eileen Murphy in Victoria
Not eligible for medals due to being and illegal absentee until captured and tried at a Court Martial
