Ephraim married Mary Ellen (Nellie) Bourke in 1915 in Fremantle, Western Australia. Nellie passed away on 31 October 1926 at Fremantle, Western Australia. It appears that Ephraim married again after Nellie passed away, in 1927 to Hilmere Gwendoline Joyce Glover in Fremantle.
On 23 August 1916 the letter “C” was added to Ephraim’s service number owing to duplication with other members of 4th DAC. Ephraim was admitted to 1st Aux Hospital in Cairo for mild influenza on 4 March 1916.
