Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of William and Eliza HATTER, Tallong, New South Wales

Private George Henry Hatter, a native of Goulburn and brother of Mrs. Follent, wife of Constable Follent, of Lidcombe, has died of wounds in Birmingham Hospital, England.  He was 22 years of age, was employed as a teacher at Dulwich Hill public school, and often visited his sister at Lidcombe.  He left for the front in December last, and was several months in Egypt.  At the end of June he arrived in France, and was wounded in action in the following month.  There are two other brothers in the firing line.
