George Archer Emmerson enlisted in Sydney stating his address as Roberts Hotel Market st Sydney. occupation Clerk.
On Enlistment he stated by statutory declaration that he was married with three children under the age of 13 years. On Enlistment he stated his wife resided at Tooronga Road Malvern Victoria.
Private George Archer Emmerson's Wife died one month prior to his return to Australia.
Evelyn Annie Emmerson née Plaisted born 1870 died 6th June 1919 aged 48 years died at Malvern Victoria buried Box Hill Cemetery.
In 1921, Department of Neglected Children and Reform Schools Melbourne conducted enquiry into the whereabouts of Private Emmerson to no avail.
