Brother of Arthur Edwin Villiers who returned to Australia on 11 October 1918 Having served with the 57th Battalion.

Commenced return to Australia on 5 April 1918 aboard HS Borda disembarking on 29 May 1918

During 1939c John married Isabel Mildred Winter Villiers nee Moore in Victoria
