Reuben Thomas Henry Davies was born at La Trobe, Tasmania in 1892.

He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.) on 10th October, 1916 as a 24 year old Jockey.

After arriving in England for further training he was sent to France & arrived in France on 7th September, 1917.

After the War ended Australian Troops had to wait for passage back to Australia. Private Davies arrived back in England from France on 12th May, 1919 as part of Quota 47.

He was admitted to Military Hospital at Weymouth on 1st July, 1919 with Cerebro Spinal Fever. He was transferred to Borough Isolation Hospital on 22nd July, 1919.


Private Reuben Thomas Henry Davies died 04.30 hrs on 8th October, 1919 at Borough Isolation Hospital, Weymouth, Dorset, England from Cerebro Spinal Fever.

He was buried in Weymouth Cemetery, Weymouth, Dorset, England.
