Father Philip Garland Ryan (b. 1868) and
Mother Lucy Lees RYAN (nee Kenworthy, b. 1875 Collingwood, VIC - d. 2/6/1947 Perth, WA).
He lived with his parents at 125 Kensington Street, East Perth, WA on enlisting.
(1947 - Mother last lived at 52 Railway Terrace, Mt Lawley, WA).

Great-grandson of Sergeant T Grady VC and clasp. DCM. - Crimean War.

He was with a machine gun company on 25/04/1918, and whilst attacking at
Villers-Brettoneux, France, he was hit by gun shot to the head and chest,
killing him instantly.
Due to severe shelling in the area, there was No known grave located.
His name is commemorated on:

- Panel 158 at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, ACT
