The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 40 and 262. Prior to the war he was a Mechanical engineer of Canberra. He enlisted 26 Jan 16 aged 22 years. The detail of this book shows that he was a soldier of 40th Infantry Battalion, that he was awarded a Military Medal during his service, and that he was promoted to Sergeant. He departed the UK for home 10th Apr 1919.
