LODGE.—On the 15th June, at No. 8 Detail Hospital, Mont Park, Gunner Lorenzo John Lodge (Loren), of the 8th F.A.B., only beloved son of W. and M. Lodge, of "Tasma," High-street,  Northcote, aged 28 years.

BURIED WITH HONORS

With full militry honours the funeral took place today of Gunner L.J. Lodge, of the 108th Howitzer Battery, who died at the Macleod Sanitorium on Saturday.  He was a son of Mr. W. Lodge, of "The Age".  The funeral left his father's home, the burial taking place at the Melbourne General Cemetery.

The funeral of Gunner L. J. Lodge, only son of Mr. W. Lodge, of the business staff of 'The Age,' took place with full military honors at 'Melbourne General Cemetery yesterday. There was a very large attendance of mourners at the graveside, including comrades of the young soldier; and Mr. J. Herbert Syme and Mr. Geoffrey Syme, and representatives from all the various departments of 'The Age' and 'The Leader' newspapers. The firing party was supplied by soldiers from Broadmeadows Camp - under the command of Lieutenant R. E. Clarke.
The service at the residence of the deceased's parents at Northcote was conducted by Rev. A. C.Kelluway, Anglican vicar of Northcote, and the service at the graveside by the Rev. R. W. Rock, of Northcote Presbyterian Church, an old friend of the family.
