Capt Thomas Henry Bone (born 5.8.1891, Newcastle, N.S.W., married school teacher (Subiaco, Western Australia), from 102 Hopkins Street, Boulder City, Western Australia, enlisted 10.1.1916, Blackboy Hill, Western Australia, age 24 years 5 months, 44th Battalion, 2nd Lieutenant, unit embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia on board HMAT A29 Suevic on the 6th June 1916, disembarked Plymouth, England 9.1.1917, promoted Lieutenant 15.11.1916, promoted Captain 13.7.1917, KIA 4 or 5.10.1917, age 26 years 2 months, Battle of Broodseinde Ridge, Belgium, resting at Tyne Cot Cemetery, Belgium. Plot XXXVI Row H Grave 24.

Older Brother of Pte Cecil Bone (SERN 110) who died of disease in France on Anzac Day 1918.
