Albert was the fourth of seven children of George Edgar Vaughan (born in Sydney NSW) and Julia Burns (born in Brisbane, QLD). George and Julia married in Brisbane, QLD where George worked as a Carpenter.
Albert was living in Brisbane, QLD and employed as a Wire Mattress Maker until his Enlistment in the AIF in 1916. Following his Discharge in 1919, Albert returned to Brisbane, QLD where he married Constance Vivienne Gavagan in 1921. He continued employment as a Wire Mattress Maker, and then as a Labourer,
Albert served in WWII with the Australian Army as a Lance Corporal (Service No: Q187030) with 1st Australian Engineers Base Stores Depot, and was Discharged in 1948).
He lived in Brisbane QLD, working as a Labourer until his death in 1963
