John was born 7th October 1891 in Beaudesert. His parents John McDougall and Martha Louise nee Pinwill were pioneers of the District.
He is listed with the Logan Village Museum Honour Roll
His Sister Louisa and his parents are all buried in the Woodhill Cemetery.
John is also listed in the book by David Mason "The Soldiers & Nurses of the Beaudesert District in WW1 (1914-1919)"
