Private George William Montgomery SERN 1209, 33rd Battalion Australian Infantry. Killed in action at Messines, Belgium, on 7 June 1917, aged 23. Buried in Toronto Avenue Cemetery, Ploegsteert, Wallonie, Belgium.

A farm labourer from Armidale, New South Wales. Son of Alice Carlisle Sands (formerly Montgomery), of 47, Balham Park Road., London, England, and the late William Montgomery. Native of Dublin.
