Reginald George Tilbrook was born in August 1896 in Minlaton, South Australia. He was 5 foot 6 inches, part of the Baptist religion and was single. His mother was Emma Tilbrook who was also his next of kin. Before enlisting he worked as a baker. He enlisted in Adelaide on the 22nd of February 1916 when he was 19 years and 6 months. He embarked on the 11th of April 1916 from Adelaide, South Australia on board the HMAT A60 Aeneas. He started in the 6th Reinforcement and joined the 32nd Battalion on the 29th of July 1916 in Étaples. He was wounded with Gas poisoning and admitted to 13th General hospital Boulogne on the 10th of March 1917 and was discharged on the 1st of April. Reginald George Tilbrook survived and disembarked on the 6th of April 1919 and returned to Australia per ‘GREA’. He passed away on the 10th of November 1976 at age 80 and was buried in Minlaton South Australia.
