ETERNAL REST GIVE TO HIM O LORD

Sergeant A. (Tanto) PARKER, A.M.C., has been killed in action in France. When he enlisted he was employed by Mr. John Yeo- builder, of Semaphore, and prior to that he was rate collector at Thebarton. Sergeant Parker offered his services on the first day of the call for men. He left with the first contingent, and was at the landing on Gallipoli, where he remained until the evacuation. Then he went to France, where he was killed last month. He was a native of Preston, Lancashire, and before coming to Australia six years ago was a corporal in the Duke of Lancaster's Yeomanry. He was 26 years of age, was of a bright disposition, and was greatly respected.
