ACCIDENT VICTIM
MARRIED IN HOSPITAL
Knocked down by a car while walking across Sydney rd, Brunswick, on Thursday, Mr Albert Croft Dudley, of Victoria st, West Brunswick, suffered a fractured leg and was admitted to St. Vincent's Hospital, but the mishap did not cause a postponement of his wedding. Mr Dudley, second son of Mr and Mrs W. Dudley, of Brunswick, had made arrangements to marry Miss Mary Mcguiness, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Megulnncs, of Bosisto st, Richmond, on Saturday, and the ceremony took place in hospital. The bride and Miss L. Butler, her bridesmaid, went to the ward where the bridegroom lay in bed with his leg in plaster, and they were married by Rev H. F. Wright. Mr V. Baker was best man. About 20 of their friends were present.
His wife suddenly aged 23 years in 1936 and he was left with 2 children, William and John.
