Vic grew up in Poowong East, then moved to Amy's Track, Foster where he was living when he enlisted.
Following his discharge he applied for Soldier Settlement Land and was granted land at Korumburra. In September 1920 he married Elizabeth Ann Oram. The family had two sons and one daughter.
Vic was aged 58 when he died of a heart attack at home at Korumburra.
