2 May 1915: Wounded AIF WW1, Private, 1325, 16th Infantry Battalion (WW1), ANZAC / Gallipoli, During the conflict at Gallipoli Jack received severe gunshot wounds, to left buttock, thigh and groin. The following day he was transferred to Alexandria Hospital and then back to England before being returned to Australia in October.
