Biography

"...3948 Private Leopold Arthur Alfred Strickland 18th Battalion, of Eden, NSW. A postal assistant prior to enlisting in October 1915 he embarked on board HMAT Runic (A54) on 20 January 1916. Pte Strickland served in France and was killed by a shell explosion at Pozieres on 4 August 1916. He was 19 years of age." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
