Died on this date - 29th February........Private Arthur Moore was born in 1875 at Chantry, Somerset, England. Arthur Moore arrive din Australia in 1900 & enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 12th January, 1915 at Colac, Victoria, stating he was a 36* year old Barman.
Private Moore joined 5th Battalion at Anzac, Turkey on 17th April, 1915. He was wounded in action on 8th August, 1915 with a bullet wound to head. He was evacuated to Malta & was listed as dangerously ill. Private Moore was transferred to England & admitted to The King George Hospital, Stamford Street, London, England on 5th September, 1915 with a gunshot wound to the head.
Private Arthur Moore died on 29th February, 1916 from wounds received in action & was buried in Holy Trinity Churchyard, Chantry, Somerset, England.
