"... Second Lieutenant Vivian Gilbert Garner. A railway clerk from, Talbot, Victoria, prior to enlistment, he embarked from Melbourne with the 14th Battalion aboard HMAT Ulysses (A38) on 22 December 1914. 2nd Lt Garner was killed in action in Belgium on 8 August 1917.
