Biography

William Bede KILLIGREW was born in Newtown, Sydney in 1885

His parents were James KILLIGREW and Anne FRASER

He enlisted at Liverpool on 27th July, 1915 with the Australian Infantry - 18th Battalion, 5th reinforcements - Unit embarked from Sydney on board HMAT Themistocles on 5th October 1915

William died of wounds on 8th May 1916 and is buried in Brewery Orchard Cemetery, France - he is also commemorated on the Australian War Memorial

His brother Septimus Bede KILLIGREW also died in WW1 in August 1916
