Henry James Munro SCALES was born in 1888 in Fitzroy, Victoria

His parents were George SCALES and Eliza BURT

S/N  5701 -Henry joined the 21st Battalion, 15th reinforcements on 1st August 1916

Unit embarked Melbourne on HMAT Shropshire on 25th September 1916

He married Sarah WESTON in 1914 - two children

Harry Weston  born 1917 and May Elizabeth b. 1914

He was Killed in Action 20th March, 1917 in France

No known grave - he is commemorated in the Australian National Memorial, Villers Bretonneux, France
