Tonight the sun sets on the Somme but I wanted to enlighten and honor the memory of the Private number 3239 Benjamin Sydney Bent who fought here on the land of the Somme in the 14th Battalion of Australian Infantry, 11th Reinforcement, he was wounded on August 28, 1916 during the Battle of Mouquet farm in Pozieres, he was evacuated and died of his wounds on August 31, 1916 at the age of 28 and rests in peace at Puchevillers British Cemetery.May God bless his soul and grant him the peace for which this young man, this hero from Australia fought and who gave everything for our future, for peace, for freedom and I would always be grateful for each of these men I will never forget the sacrifices.Lest we forget 🌺🇦🇺🌺
