20 Aug 1915:	Embarked AIF WW1, Private, 1799, 25th Infantry Battalion, HMAT Shropshire, Brisbane. Initial SN was 968 but was taken ill with measles and missed first embarkation on HMAT Aeneas. Upon recovery in Australia rejoined unit under SN 1799 and embarked on HMAT Shropshire. Taken on strength 12/10/1915 Gallipoli Peninsula until unit evacuated 18/12/1915 and redeployed to France.
