Harry Matthew LADD was born in Richmond, Victoria on 10th Marcy, 1891

His parents were Charles Henry Salter LADD & Emily HOLYOAK

He married Hilda Mabel TILLEY on 19th February, 1921

He served in WW1 (SN 320) in the 37th Infantry Battalion, the 45th Infantry Battalion & the 12th Field Artillery Brigade & was discharged on 22nd May, 1919  - he was awarded a Military Medal for bravery in the field

He served in WW2 (SN V373171) in the Volunteer Defence Corp (6th Battalion) and was discharged on 3rd October, 1945

His brother Edward Wildes HOLYOAK (SN 5094) also served during WW1 and died of wounds in France on 7th April, 1917
