George Lumsden Hall was single and aged 21 years when he enlisted. He was a steam pressor prior to enlistment, and he embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Argyllshire A8 on 11th May 1916 in the 7th Field Artillery Brigade.
George returned to Australia after the war and married Jean Colquhoun in 1925. He died on 25th March 1958 and his ashes are interned in St Thomas' Cemetery, Enfield.
