"...3752 Private Harry Rees, 48th Battalion from Broken Hill, NSW. A 22 year old trucker prior to enlistment on 23 August 1915, he embarked for overseas with the 12th Reinforcements of the 16th Battalion from Adelaide on 2 December 1915 aboard RMS Malwa. On arrival in Egypt, he transferred to the 48th Battalion and then deployed with them to the Western Front where he was killed in action at Pozieres, France on 6 August 1916. Pte Rees is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Somme, France." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
