Son of the late G H and Mrs. M B DAVIES, 34 Austenham Road, Leichhardt, NSW
Lancelot saw serivce in Egypt and France and was buried with several companons while in the dugout at Moquet Farm. After extricating himself he dug his mates out, all in an exhausted condition. Taken prisnoer of War at Reincourt 11 April 1917 and interned in Limburg, Fridrichsfeld and Parchim German. He was released after the signing of the Armistice and arrived in England 26 December 1918 after being held prisoner for one year and eight months.
