Son of Robert Urry and Emmy Urry of Petersham, NSW later of 'Clavering' Beamish Street, Campsie, NSW. Brother of Charles Edward Urry who was killed inaction on 11 September 1916 while serving with the 1st Battalion. Buried in the Railway Dugouts Burial Ground, Plot V1, Row N, Grave 3.
Husband of Ada Elizabeth J. Urry nee Wilson of Chester Street, Petersham, NSW. Thomas and Ada married during 1915c in Petersham, NSW
Commenced return to Australia as invalid on 6 November 1918 aboard HT Marathon disembarking on 1 January 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney.
