Son of Henry (Harry) Quinnell and Sarah Anne Quinnell nee Savage of Winchester, England.

Commenced return to Australia on 5 July 1919 aboard HT Port Melbourne disembarking on 20 August 1919

Post war he became a Solider Settler in the Mount Bute Estate, Victoria

During 1933c Gordon married Esther Mary Woodman in Victoria
