James was born in 1889 at Bathurst New South Wales.
He died in June 1951 but as yet we have been unable to locate his resting place.
His parents were John and Hanora nee Hartnett.
James married Gwendlyn Maud nee Hayes.
He is listed on the Museum honour roll as belonging to the Pioneer Families Hayes and Trace.
