Son of John Orr and Kathleen (Kate) Mary Bernice Orr nee Walshe of Humffray Street south, Ballarat East, Victoria formerly of Horsham, Victoria.
Brother of John William Stewart Orr who returned to Australia on 17 February 1919 having served with the 3 Battalion Imperial Camel Corp and Ronald Page Orr who returned to Australia on 18 September 1917 having served with the 8th Battalion
