Son of Oliver Orman and Elizabeth Catherine Dorrington formerly Orman of Newtown, NSW.
Brother of Daniel George Orman who was killed in action on 2 October 1917 while serving with the 33rd Battalion and has no known grave. His name appears on Panel 23 of the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres; Oliver Ferdinand Orman who returned to Australia on 12 May 1917 having served with the 36th Battalion.
Comenced return to Australia on 23 September 1919 aboard HT Ascania disembarking on 10 November 1919
