2 October 1917 - AWOL from AIF UK Depot
29 November 1917 - declared illegally absent
31 March 1921 he applied for repatriation to Australia having been discharged in England in 1920 but free passage was refused. Later he was granted free passage due to him serving in the Navy where he reached the rank of Cheif Petty Officer
Medals: not eligible for medal having been classed as an illegal absentee from the AIF.
