In August 1918 he claimed that he had not deserted but missed the sailing of HMAT Orsova at Fremantle but later had boarded another transport ship, HMAT Borda, which arrived in Egypt about 3 days after his unit which he rejoined

Son of Silas Adams and Lucy Jane Adams of Commercial Hotel,  Narrandera, NSW. 

During 1920 Silas married Jessie C. Cameron in the Orange area, NSW. Father of Kenneth Cameron Adams

Commenced return to Australia on 20 Februry 1917 aboard HT Runic
