Biography contributed by Geoffrey Gillon

He was 21 and the son of Henry Ernest and Martha Hannah Knight of Manor Farm, Twywell, Thrapston, Northants, England.

He is one of 10 Australian casualties of the Great War honoured on the Kettering War Memorial in Northamptonshire, England.

His birth was actually recorded as Hector Philip and for that reason is how his name is inscribed on the Kettering War Memorial.
