HE DIED THAT WE MIGHT LIVE

A similar presentation was made at McPhie and Co.'s office last evening when Corporal Reginald Herbert Verry was bidden good-bye by the staff. Mr. McDougall occupied the chair, and there were also  present, Messrs. F. Harrison, Hayes, G. Wilson. A. Callaghan, Falkner, L. and G. Gilbert, B. Miles, Wilkin and the staff generally. 
Mr. McDougall, in handing Corporel Verry a wristlet watch, on behalf of the firm, wished him good luck, and a safe trip back. (Applause). Corporal Verry suitably responded. Three hearty cheers were  given for him.

VERRY—ATKINSON.—On Wednesday, September 27th, 1916 at St. Philip's Church, South Brisbane, by Rev. H. T. Molesworth, Reginald Herbert Verry, A.I.F., son of the late Mr. A. G. Verry, of    Toowoomba, and of Mrs. G. A. Gamack, Yangan, to Vera Maud, younger daughter of Mr. aad Mrs. H. W. Atkinson, "Martha Ville," Coorparoo.
