Son of Thomas LOWTH and Margaret Elizabeth nee SMITH, Lowth's Hotel, Townsville, Qld.

Collinsville Fatality.
A fatal accident occurred at the State Mine, Collinsville, on Saturday at 2.30 a.m., when Richard Donald Lowth, aged 44 years, who was working on the boilers, fell from a  staging and succumbed to his injuries shortly afterwards. The deceased was a returned soldier and ex-railwayman, and had been working at the mine several years. The funeral  left the Roman Catholic Church on Sunday morning and was attended by returned soldiers and workmates of the deceased, who followed the cortege on foot. Deceased leaves a  wife and two young children to mourn their tragic loss.
