Son of Arthur and Margaret KAYE

PTE. ARTHUR JOHN KAYE
Second son of Mr and Mrs A. Kaye, of 14 Federal street, Footscray, enlisted in the 22th Battalion July 10th, 1915, sailed for EVgypt, and after some months in the Lewis Machine Gun Section sailed for France in June 1916. On 4/12/16 he was admitted to hospital in England suffering from trench feet. Recovering he returned to his unit in April, 1917, and was killed in action 22/10/17. Before enlisting he was employed by Hugh Lennon, Spotswood. Pte. Kay was 30 years and 4 months old. Two brothers are still on active service.
